兩種翻譯處理方式
on the part of sb.，這個結構在合同翻譯過程當中經常遇到，如果對其沒有一定了解，尤其是對于接觸法律翻譯不久的人來說，該詞會對整個句子結構的理解造成一定的干擾，前兩天我在翻譯一份小文件的時候，又遇到了這個詞，因為這個詞就法律翻譯而言極具代表性，因此，很有必要總結一下這個詞經常出現(xiàn)的情形及其譯法。這個結構的譯法有兩種：(1)就某人而言；(2)不作翻譯[這是合同中常見的處理方式]。遇到中譯英的情形，使用這個結構，不僅可以使表達更加地道，而且簡潔。
一、就某人而言 [該譯法在合同中并不多見]，例如：
This is a terrible mistake on the part of a manager.
就管理者而言，這是一個嚴重的錯誤。
二、不作翻譯 [這種處理方式在合同中最常見]，常見搭配如：duty on the part of hospital 院方責任。以下我通過幾組例句，讓大家更加清楚這個結構經常出現(xiàn)在怎樣的情形中：
情形一（兩個例句）：
(1)The SUPPLIER shall hold Buyer harmless for all liabilities that are asserted against Buyer due to an act or omission on the part of the SUPPLIER.
供應商應確保買方免于遭受由于供應商的作為或不作為而要求買方承擔的所有責任。
